Develop with Purpose
DEVELOPMENT = getting your pieces off the back rank to squares where they do work. Chess is a team sport played one move at a time — every turn you spend NOT developing, your opponent fields another player.
The house rules: 1. Knights before bishops (knights' best squares are known on move one; bishops should wait to see the pawn structure) 2. Don't move the same piece twice without a concrete reason 3. The queen stays home for now — she's a target out there
